Group runs or mini-races set up by group members.Come out and run loops at Thumb Butte. 1 loop is a tad under 2 miles. Go at your own pace and as many times as you like. Parking is free on Wed, gate opens at 6 am.
We start at the trailhead at Rosser and 89 (light) and will run a short distance through the Watson woods and connect with Sundog trail. I plan to do 4-6 depending on group input. My pace will be 1/2 walk and 1/2 run. It’s an out and back, so run your own pace, hard to get lost on this one.😊
Meet at Fleet Feet, go for a run. All paces welcome!
No drop group run - we stop at every intersection and wait for everyone to catch up before running again. This loop is a bit of a drive but its one of the best in the area! From rocks and desert to pines and forest -this loop has it all! The first two miles involve a lot of elevation gain (expect 1000 ft) followed by two miles of rolling hills and 2 miles of downhill with an epic view! If you survive the first two miles you will agree its all worth it by the end :) Bring water!! That hill is full sun. Directions: Drive up Hwy 89 headed away from PV toward Jerome -look for the trailhead off to the right on the side of the road - before you get to the curvy part. 34.683710184733656, -112.17496781500802

I have 25 miles to do this Saturday and would love some company for all or part of it. The route will be determined based on who shows up, but typically I do shorter loops and use my car as an aid station. Loops will likely be a distance somewhere between 8 and 12 miles, with opportunities for out and back. Meet at White Rock trailhead promptly around 7 am for the first loop! Any pace is welcome!
